Her ambition to overcome the limits of the body and the spirit, via physical exercises and self-discipline, steered Maria Bendriş towards sports activities, ever since she was 14 years old. Then, thanks to her constant determination, after more than a decade dedicated to exercising and self-discipline, Maria won the 2012 Body-fitness section of the National Championship, at the 1.63 category.
Maria was first recognised as a high performance athlete in 2008, when she joined the Farul Sports Club, after ranking fourth in the same category, at the national Body-Building, Fitness, Body-fitness, Bikini, Classic Bodybuilding Championship.
Her respect for health and her desire to better understand the human body, prompted her to enrol in the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports, at the Bucharest Ecological University. Then, she deepened her studies even further, by graduating from the Physical Therapy Faculty, of the Spiru Haret University.
Her strong conviction in the power if mentorship, which can only be achiever within a strong team, united by excellence, ethics and passion for people and for sports, prompted Maria to continue her training with a Master’s Programme in the Management of Physical Education and Sports Activities, within the Ecological University in Bucharest.
Being passionate about nutrition and food supplements (for sports people), she acquired the necessary knowledge in Poland, while she also completed a personal trainer preparation course.
Her road to perfection in sports, as well as her seven years of experience in coordinating students with intense trainings and nutrition programmes, made Maria the perfect candidate to have a series of editorial articles focusing on exercising and nutrition, dedicated to her, after being published in several specialised outlets
