Interview with Dana Iancu

Dana Iancu is a feminine presence whose charm, agility, and inner strength betray no effort, managing to convince the audience both in front of and outside the camera. A TV presenter, a performance athlete, she combines multiple aspects of modern life, well-structured, which we will discover throughout this interview.

Dana Iancu flirted with television, for which she has “strong feelings and in whose arms she feels in her element,” while being a federal member of the Romanian Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation. Who is the person behind the name Dana Iancu?

A person who believes in the power of dreams and who has chosen to radiate brilliance in the world of fitness and television through dedication, discipline, and passion.

You are an active person both physically and intellectually, with a well-structured daily schedule. From your point of view, what is the difference and, at the same time, the importance of training the intellect and the body simultaneously?

In my view, the intellect represents the captain, the body symbolizes the ship, but I would also introduce the heart, which embodies the compass of my life. I always ensure that the three – body, mind, and soul – are perfectly aligned, that there is synergy between them.

Only then can I know that I am on the right path.

Balance is everything! A healthy lifestyle reflects the attitude and values of an individual or a group that promotes “well-being/wellness.” But what does a healthy lifestyle/wellness actually mean in your own conception, and how would you describe it in one sentence?

“A sound mind in a sound body!” Balanced nutrition, hydration, exercise, rest. My personal recommendation is to try to fall asleep at approximately the same time every night. Over time, for the body, this will become a normality, and it will know exactly how many hours of rest it needs to wake up with maximum energy.

I adore early mornings, waking up at six o’clock, and the first thing I do is connect with nature, taking a short walk in the forest, accompanied by a few breathing exercises, and the day can begin.

Regarding nutrition, we all know its importance in maintaining optimal health, and the best diet is the one that fits the needs of our own body.

When did you discover your passion for fitness, and what were the first steps you took towards the sport?

I can say that passion found me, not the other way around. Being naturally curious, once I realized that I was in harmony with myself, the steps that followed were simply about “surrendering to passion” through dedication, ambition, and discipline. Fitness is a sport of showcasing the body, and since “beauty” is well-integrated into my life, being attracted to everything that constitutes it, I didn’t hesitate for long.

I was already dreaming of my first fitness competition!

You have competed in various national and international competitions. Aside from the hard work behind preparing for such a large-scale competition, what was the “connection with the stage” like, and what do you think you gained from participating in these events?

The stage, for me, represents an intensified state of flow; it is a part of me. I feel radiant, completely immersed, and able to express everything that represents me. Being present at these events has instilled confidence, inner strength, ambition, discipline, and most importantly, “I have achieved” a mission to which I am dedicated and that I want to share with those who want to discover what it means to live a harmonious life, which makes us shine at our true value.

What does the concept of “me time” mean to you in a fast-forward world, even in the current pandemic context we all experience, and what are the solutions to achieve this time?

Self-love. A universally valid answer, but without self-love, we don’t give ourselves the attention we deserve. For me, the formula consists of the following elements: I care, plus I make an effort, and the result is that I am willing to pay the price.

You juggle words with agility, and stage fright is not known to you in front of the cameras. Give us a general overview of the projects you are currently focusing on and that will soon reach the small screens.

At present, my dream is to be able to express, in my own TV show, all the experience accumulated over these years, in various areas related to the “harmonious life” segment. In this regard, I am open and involved in all projects that come my way.

În momentele în care nu este implicată în munca dificilă de construire a afacerii, de gestionare și generare de idei noi pentru FormaSheFitness, Mihaela explorează lumea, călătorește alături de Shiba Inu-ul său, “Foxy”, și “așterne pe tastatură” experiențele dedicate călătoriilor fit și excursiilor prietenoase cu animalele de companie. Mihaela are un stil de viată activ și iubește activitatea fizică sub toate formele sale – exerciții fizice, inclusiv antrenamentele la domiciliu, în sală și în mijlocul naturii. Crede cu tărie, că sănătatea și fitness-ul ar trebui să fie o plăcere și susține importanța de a nu fi, doar, în formă și sănătoși, ci, și de a evidenția acest aspect. Site-ul FormaSheFitness, revista și magazinul online au fost create pentru femeile moderne și active, care apreciază sănătatea fizică și mintală, fitness-ul, frumusețea, sportul, moda în fitness și călătoriile sănătoase.
